Kane celebrates his 100th goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has declared that his desire in coming back to the Premier League has faded and he is willing to discuss a new deal with Bayern Munich.
The prolific striker is currently halfway through the four-year deal he agreed to when joining from Tottenham Hotspur for 86.4 million pounds in the transfer window of 2023.
The experienced forward has netted an outstanding 103 goals in 106 games for the German club, helping them win the 2024-25 Bundesliga championship - which was the maiden significant honor of his notable career.
Tottenham boss Thomas Frank has previously mentioned that he would like to see Kane come back to England, where he requires 48 goals to break Alan Shearer's all-time Premier League scoring feat of 260.
However, the England skipper has now indicated that he is no longer as enthusiastic about coming back home as he earlier was, and would certainly think about extending his time in Bavaria.
"In terms of remaining longer, I could definitely see that," he remarked.
"I spoke openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those discussions with Bayern yet, but if they were to arise I would be willing to talk and have an honest conversation.
"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so unfolds and what we achieve together. Right now, I would say we are in a excellent moment and I am not focusing about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had questioned me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would perhaps say that has gone down a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have discovered in my career is that different options and different timings happen and things align. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am completely all in with Bayern."
Milestone Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the record top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and recently became the speediest player this century to hit 100 goals for a club playing in one of Europe's top five competitions, attaining the milestone in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a trophy had avoided him until he secured the German title last season.
Kane admits that he was not sure how he would respond after ending his trophy wait, but now feels it has made him eager for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be natural to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he continued.
"But it's given me more drive to do more and be better. I think I've shown that this year.
"I was interested in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to attain in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I challenged myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
